Big Pea Porridge Pond is about 140 acres, and motorboats are not permitted. The mornings are quite tranquil and you will enjoy the call of the loons as the mist rises from the lake. In the fall, its a great place to enjoy the fall colors; just 3.5 miles to the Kancamaugus. There is year-round fishing, and the lake contains rainbow trout, small mouth bass, yellow perch, and sunfish. In the winter, the lake provides skating, cross country skiing, and ice fishing.
